Aimy works best when your tablet is secure, visible, and hands-free while you drive. You don't need anything complicated. Start simple, play a round, and upgrade later if you want.

Clean, stable, and low-profile — a built-in GPS experience

Security: if you leave the cart unattended you’re usually exposing about $10 of rail hardware, compared with leaving the tablet holder (about $25) and tablet. Carry the tablet (and holder when you prefer) with you whenever you can. Either way, the install stays low-profile.

A built-in Android stereo can feel like factory GPS — and be more useful than the limited proprietary dash displays included in high-end carts. Every cart roof opening is different, so you’ll need to research mounting and wiring for your model; we don’t publish a full head-unit install guide here.
Our everyday test cart has a Podofo head unit in a generic dash enclosure that is turned upside down and mounted above. Email support@aimy.golf for details if you want to take on this 10+ hour project.
Safety: It’s a good idea to use a short safety tether to protect from falls.
Use a wrist strap or lanyard anchored under the mounting rail (or another solid point), with a clip to a tether patch through the case’s USB opening—under $10 and cheap insurance. A short tether on the tablet or mount also works. Check that your tablet is secure before every round.
Rugged case: we strongly recommend a protective case; Aimy is used in sun, bumps, and cart vibration.
